Idler Arm

Construction

Fixed to cross rod at one end and to chassis at the other end. Chassis side holds bracket which contains shaft and bearing with grease sealed.
Connection part to cross rod is made with either tapered hole or ball joint unitized.
Ball stud action of idler arm is only turning and not pivoting. Pivoting angle is not significant. Idler arm is located in opposite side of pitman arm to hold long cross rod in balance.
