At GMB, we organize various internal events to enhance employee engagement and create a comfortable workplace environment. On Friday, November 7th, we held an employee barbecue event, “GMB Barbecue in Nodoka Village,” at Agricultural Park Shigisan Nodoka Village, located in Sangō Town, Ikoma District, Nara Prefecture. A total of 150 employees from the Nara Plant, Yao Plant, Yodoyabashi Office, and Kitahama Office gathered and enjoyed a pleasant autumn day together. 

Surrounded by beautiful nature, participants enjoyed barbecue in groups while deepening interactions with members from other locations whom they rarely meet in their daily work. The event also featured a game corner where employees competed for luxurious ingredients, which brought great excitement to the gathering. To wrap up the event, each participant received an original GMB handkerchief as a souvenir, making it a memorable occasion. 

The barbecue provided opportunities for colleagues to strengthen their bonds and broadened the network of communication across our different sites. Many participants commented positively, saying, “It was refreshing to talk with employees I usually don’t have a chance to interact with,” and “I felt rejuvenated in the midst of nature.” 

GMB will continue to implement various initiatives to promote connections among employees and their families, as we aim to foster a rewarding, inclusive workplace for all.
