‐ An Initiative to Support Regional Sports Promotion and Residents’ Health ‐

On May 25, 2024, GMB Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kawanishi Town, Shiki District, Nara Prefecture) donated original-design benches to the newly opened sports facility “Oval Park Kawanishi” in the same town.

“Oval Park Kawanishi” is a highly anticipated sports complex featuring Japan’s first competition-grade inline skating track. It is expected to host world-class tournaments and serve widely as a training venue for local children and athletes.

As a company rooted in the local community, GMB created and donated the benches out of gratitude to Kawanishi Town and its residents, aiming to provide users with a comfortable experience at the facility. The benches are decorated with our company character “GMB Friends,” offering a friendly design that appeals to both children and adults.

The donation ceremony was held in conjunction with the “Hoda Retarding Basin Operation Commemoration Ceremony.” Our Executive Director, Tamiya Otaki, personally presented the bench to Mayor Ozawa of Kawanishi Town.

This initiative was featured in various newspapers, introduced in the evening news on Nara TV, and posted on the broadcaster’s official YouTube channel as well as Yahoo! News.
